Lebanon and Turkey: a Long History of Trade & a New Future of Prosperity
For millennia, Lebanon and Turkey have enjoyed parallel situations as the world’s gateways between East and West: Lebanon to the Arab World, and Turkey to Eastern Europe. Lebanon’s pledge to this was reified in Prime Minister Hariri’s groundbreaking visit to Ankara in January, during which he and his counterparts from the Turkish State enacted multiple agreements easing trade barriers and establishing bilateral relations between the two countries.
